Leadership Theories in Management: History and Perspectives
Abstract
An analytical review of the leadership theories in management is presented. Interrelation between the most important theories of leadership is shown as well as historical determinants of their development. A «mapping» of the major theories is proposed which helps to understand to what extent concrete dimensions of leadership are developed. A hypothesis on what will be the main directions in the leadership theory development is formulated.
