Corporate Governance Problems in the Context of Corporate Life Cycle
Abstract
A problem of effective behavior of an owner at various stages of the corporate life cycle is considered using Adizes’ model. It’s shown that in the process of the development of an organization one has to resolve three principal dilemmas: dilemma of professionalism, owner’s dilemma and investor’s dilemma. Using this approach a specifics of Russian companies is studied. The analysis shows that the problem of corporate governance is in fact evolving much earlier than the company goes through IPO.
