Entrepreneurship Activity in Contemporary Russia

Abstract

The article deals with the main results of the entrepreneurial activity research in Russia conducted under the guidance of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) project in 2006. The authors compare of entrepreneurial activity levels for early-state and established entrepreneurs in countries participating in the GEM project, draw social and demographic picture of average entrepreneur, describe innovative qualities of entrepreneurial firms, evaluate the influence of environments on the entrepreneurial activity of the population.
