The New Role of CIOs
Abstract
This article represents the results of the «IBM Chief Information Officer (CIO) Study» conducted by IBM Institute for Business Value as a part of its program of research on top management. The aim of the study was in producing better understanding of challenges and objectives faced by CIOs. The analysis is based on the survey of 2598 CIOs from diverse companies of 19 industries and 78 countries.
