Uncertainty and Risks In Supply Chains:
Problem Classification and Future Research Avenues
Abstract
In the article a state-of-the-art review is presented in regard to uncertainty and risk considerations for structural-functional supply chain design in the period from 2000–2014. In the paper major problem statements are structured. Uncertainty and risks are classified and actions for their mitigation are considered. In addition, the authors analyze a number of practical examples of operational and disruptive risk management. Finally, the future research avenues are derived.
